The Water Project

“To me, the Water Project is instinctual,” writes Kelli Yon, “a natural celebration of wildlife that calls to mind the feeling of salt and wind and sky and the freeness of childhood, like a gentle evening walk on the boardwalk or the brightness of the air a moment after it rains.” Later, Yon writes: “These photos are meant for the individual. Their purpose is to bring up emotions and memories unique to each person and evoke a feeling of nostalgia or home.” The individual photographs are printed on a square glass sheet and are meant to be hung as pairs.
